Grant Criteria & Information

 

Grant Priorities

Funding priority will be given to organizations with project-based grant requests that exhibit the following characteristics:

  • Supports the Mission of TCCMV Foundation:   To address the health and welfare requirements of our community by supporting non-profit organizations that provide services to children and youth with special needs
  • Proof of 501(c)(3) IRS tax status and most recent IRS form 990, and a performance record (required)
  • Exhibits sustained and long-term benefits for one or more categories of children and youth with special physical/cognitive needs
  • Demonstrates innovative approaches to assisting children and youth with special needs and their families
  • Utilizes resources effectively and efficiently to reach the greatest number of children and youth with special needs
  • Provides services that have a positive impact in Central Ohio
  • Submits recommendations from one (1) TCCMV member family and one (1) community source
  • Receives majority of funding from sources other than public tax supported dollars
 

Grant Limitations

TCCMV Foundation grant funds may not be used for:  staff salaries of organizations or charities; supplanting existing funding, i.e., fundraising; organizations with specific religious affiliations; operational expenses and/or sponsorships


Grant Guidelines

  • Projects must identify a specific period of time for services.  Grants may be submitted on an annual basis for renewal.
  • Requests will be submitted using the TCCMV Foundation Grant Request Form –  Submit five (5) hard copies and one (1) electronic copy.
  • Grant awarding will be conducted according to IRS 501(c)(3) regulations.

Conditions of Grant Award

  • Grant recipients must submit a final report which includes qualitative and quantitative project measurements/outcomes, evaluation results and financial expenditures to the Foundation Grants Chair within thirty (30) days after completion of the project and funds have been used, or by July 31st of the calendar year as stated in the grant approval letter. Reports received after this date may cause the grantee to forgo the remaining 10% of the grant.
